AWP is looking to recruit a year in industry intern.

As a small, award-winning consultancy we provide our employees with opportunities to get involved in all aspects of our design work and to work on some of the most prestigious development projects in the south west.

Role

The varied role will allow you to gain experience across all the teams in the office including assisting in the production of infrastructure designs for technical approval or construction issue; Transport Assessments & Travel Plans and Flood Risk Assessments & Utility Strategies to support planning applications.

You can expect to be working on a number of projects at any given time and will report to, and be mentored by, one of our management team, all of whom are Chartered Civil Engineers.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a soon-to-be graduate to gain a wide range of experience and kickstart a career in Civil Engineering.

Requirements

·You will currently be undertaking a BEng or MEng degree in Civil Engineering, Civil and Costal Engineering or another relevant subject and will be expecting to graduate with a 2:1 or above.

·You will have good written and spoken communication skills.

·AutoCAD experience would be preferred, but full training will be given.

·Most importantly, you will be someone enthusiastic with a willingness to learn and the ability to work as part of a team.
