Robert Mackley
Engineer
I’m originally from Reading, then after 5 years at Plymouth University I decided that the South West was the place to be! Soon later, AWP welcomed me in September 2018 and I haven’t looked back since.
Starting in Chris’s team, I’ve learned how to support planning applications through preliminary drainage designs including SuDS, Flood Risk Assessments, and utility strategies for commercial and residential sites. Being on AWP’s graduate rotation programme, I’ve since moved into the DI side of the office, now working for Graham and helping to deliver detailed designs for drainage, highways and external works at technical approval level. With AWP’s support, I aim to continue learning new skills and work towards professional chartership status with the ICE.
Beyond work, I love exploring the great outdoors via hiking, wildcamping, running, cycling and sailing. On less active days, I enjoying playing guitar and reading.
