Rock Point Inn, Lyme Regis

15/07/20

St Austell Brewery have just opened their first pub in Dorset; the Rock Point Inn on the sea front at Lyme Regis.

We prepared a Flood Risk Assessment to support the detailed planning application. In addition to the flood risks from the sea, including assessing the impacts of climate change, we had to assess the fluvial flood risks from the River Lim which flows through the town and out to sea right next to the pub. Our excellent working relationships with the local EA officers helped secure their approval in a timely manner to enable planning to be granted and the contractors to crack on with the site works.

This is the latest in a series of projects we have helped St Austell Brewery gain planning permissions, following on from the Mill on the Exe in Exeter, Port Gaverne cafe on the north Cornish coast, the Lifeboat Inn in St Ives and most recently the Harbour Light Restaurant in Paignton.
