Blandford Forum

Dorset

We were appointed by Wyatt Homes to undertake the engineering work to support a hybrid planning application for the phased development of land to the North and East of Blandford Forum for up to 600 dwellings and non-residential uses. 

The new development will provide shops, a three-form primary school, and health and community facilities for new and existing residents. It will allow for the connection and enhancement of public transport links and will promote walking and cycling to the new community facilities and towards the town centre. The scheme seeks to deliver a balanced mix of new homes for all ages, comprising of open market, starter, self-build, retirement homes and affordable rented homes.

We undertook a Transport Assessment including a Framework Travel Plan, a Flood Risk Assessment including a surface water strategy, utilities work and preliminary highway design to support the hybrid application that was submitted to Dorset Council in 2020.
