August 2015

01/08/15

It's been another busy month at AWP. Here is a brief summary of some of what's been going on:

We've helped remove objections to enable Reserved Matters permission to be granted for the next phase of Hill Barton Business Park (this month's image above) for Stuart Properties.

It was a bit of a rush, following the Government's abrupt change of policy on funding support for solar PV sites, but we managed to complete our work to support planning applications for two new Solar Farms in West Sussex.

Ian provided transport evidence for a successful Planning Appeal for 340 new homes at Helston for Jackamax. This follows on from recent successful appeals at Probus, St Austell and Bickington for long standing client Wainhomes.

Working closely with LHC architects on behalf of Cavanna Homes we recently submitted reports and drawings to support a Reserved Matters planning application for 80 homes at Clyst St Mary, Exeter. We also completed work to support applications for new residential schemes for Wainhomes at Par and St Austell and submitted S104, S38 and S278 Technical Approval drawings for Devonshire Homes for their sites at Chulmleigh and Cullompton.

We’re certainly glad we’ve grown the team over the last few months to help us deliver this volume of work, but that hasn't stopped us taking on one more member of staff; George Dyer has recently joined us as an Apprentice Technician. We'll support George by paying his tuition fees as he attends Exeter College to study for a BTEC in Civil Engineering.
