Site progress in Cornwall

16/07/20

What with working from home for months, and with the sun out, it seemed a good idea to dust off the AWP camera and take a day trip to Cornwall to see what progress has been made on a few projects we've worked on.

The first photo is of Zero C's Trevethow Riel development in Truro, where the crescent has been completed recently and looks fantastic. We undertook the detailed infrastructure design serving the crescent and townhouses. We also assisted the landowner, Duchy of Cornwall, by co-ordinating services and drainage input in the wider mixed-use development. Graham led our team undertaking this work.

The second photo is of the Nansledan Primary School. The AWP team, led by Pete, provided the transportdrainage  and services advice to support the planning application for the new school.  After planning permission was granted in 2017 we subsequently undertook the infrastructure design work to help discharge planning conditions and obtained Cornwall Council's approval for a S278 for the new school access.

The last two photos are of retail and residential sectors in Nansledan. Dan leads our team undertaking the infrastructure design for all three of the regional housebuilders building this mixed-use urban extension. The development will eventually accommodate 4,000 dwellings, employment uses, church, school, a new high street and food retail as well as other mixed uses. Its good to see the early phases of Nansledan already begin to feel like a community.
