"Ian and the team at AWP have worked tirelessly to address the significant local concerns and achieve no technical objections on our scheme meaning that, after much opposition, we were very pleased that Teignbridge Council granted us planning permission. We look forward to continuing to work with AWP in delivering infrastructure for employment development on the site."

West Exe Park

Peamore, Exeter

We were appointed by Exeter Estates to provide engineering input into their proposed new employment development at West Exe Park. The 47,000 sqm development is anticipated to generate around 1,500 new jobs on the site at Peamore, just to the west of Exeter and close to the housing expansion area at South West Exeter.

We have worked on this complicated site for some time, providing highways and drainage engineering advice into the developing masterplan for this strategic employment site. We completed the Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage Strategy along with a Transport Assessment and a Travel Plan to support the planning application consulting with drainage authorities and highway authorities to achieve no technical objections to the scheme.

In the face of significant local opposition, we worked with Exeter Estates to develop some further local highways related mitigation measures which will now be delivered through the S106 Agreement.

The site also has frontage to the A38 and therefore provides the opportunity in the future to deliver land for a new slip road onto the A38. We therefore worked with DCC and Exeter Estates to ensure that opportunity is not lost through this planning permission.

We look forward to progressing infrastructure delivery to enable the first units to get to construction and boost the supply of local employment land south of Exeter.
